Aravali Teacher Training College is located in Udaipur (Rajasthan) popularly known as city of lakes, the city has historic importance for being the theatre of Maharana Pratap's heroic war against the aggressors. The college has a picturesque surrounding of Aravali ranges. It is located at a distance of 5 kilometer from the heart of the city. The college was established in the year 2007 by its founder the Philonthorphist and social worker of Mewar Shri Bhag Chand Bansal. The college has been established under a registered society named "Shree Ganesh Education, Social and Environment Society".
The first batch of 100 students joined the college in the session 2007 - 2008. The existing building of the college was completed before the starting of the college in the year 2007. The college started with an intake capacity of 100 students, but soon in the year 2008-09 the NCTE and the State Government gave sanction to increase the intake capacity to 200 students. At present the college admits 200 B.Ed. students through a common entrance Test conducted by one of the Universities of Rajasthan decided by the Government of Rajasthan. Not all colleges of Rajasthan have been allowed the increase in intake capacity. This college was allowed the increased intake due to its nice infrastructure facilities well-qualified faculty and good result.
The college has a well-equipped library, Psychology Lab, Science Lab, Computer Lab, Education Technology Lab and provides Internet facility to its students and faculty member.
The college has been involving its students and faculty members with the local community by conducting community surveys during Open Air Session and organizing rallies for creating awareness about the Social and Environmental issues.
The college has linkages with some reputed Teacher Education Institutions, State Institute of Education, Research & Training (SIERT), etc. The college has very cordial relationship with the practicing schools and cooperates with these schools by providing them some extension services.
